Porn loving men ruin sex study
Sunday, November 29th, 2009 | Lifestyle | No Comments
A PORNOGRAPHY study had to be axed because scientists had a hard time finding men who had not been exposed to X-rated material.
Boffins had planned to recruit two groups of men in their twenties — comparing regular porn users with blokes who had never viewed explicit films.
But researchers were stunned when they could not find ANY fellas who had not watched the hardcore movies.
Professor Simon Louis Lajeunesse, from the University of Montreal, Canada, said: “The objective of my work is to observe the impact of pornography on the sexuality of men, and how it shapes their perception of men and women.
“We started our research seeking men in their twenties who had never consumed pornography but we couldn’t find any.”
The scientist was eventually forced to change to studying the habits of young men who did use porn.
It was found single young men viewed porn for 40 minutes three times a week, compared with those in committed relationships who watch it 1.7 times a week for 20 minutes.
Researchers also found that 90 per cent of pornography was taken from the internet, while only ten per cent came from video stores.
Young boys first watched pornography when they were just ten years old but they quickly discarded what they found offensive.
And as adults, men continued to watch the saucy material but rarely with their partner.

Noisy sex woman loses appeal bid
Saturday, November 21st, 2009 | Lifestyle | No Comments
A woman who was banned from making loud noises during sex has lost an appeal against her conviction.
Caroline and Steve Cartwright’s love-making was described as “murder” and “unnatural” at Newcastle Crown Court.
Neighbours, the local postman and a woman taking her child to school complained about the noise.
Mrs Cartwright, 48, from Washington on Wearside, lost the appeal against a conviction for breaching a noise abatement notice.
She argued she had a right to “respect for her private and family life” under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act.
But Recorder Jeremy Freedman, sitting with two magistrates, rejected her claim that she could not help making the loud noise during sex.
He said: “We are in no doubt whatsoever about the level of noise that can be heard in neighbouring properties, in the street and in the back lane.
“It certainly was intrusive and constituted a statutory nuisance. It was clearly of a very disturbing nature and it was also compounded by the duration - this was not a one-off, it went on for hours at a time.
“It is further compounded by the frequency of the episode, virtually every night.”
‘Shouting and screaming’
Next door neighbour Rachel O’Connor told the court she was frequently late for work because she overslept having been awake most of the night because of the noise.
She said: “The noise sounds like they are both in considerable pain. I cannot describe the noise. I have never ever heard anything like it.”
The court heard Sunderland City Council recorded levels of up 47 decibels.
Mrs Cartwright was appealing against the abatement notice, which was imposed in November 2007, and a subsequent Asbo, banning the couple from “shouting, screaming or vocalisation at such a level as to be a statutory nuisance”.
She has since been accused of three counts of breaching the Asbo, but has denied the charges and will stand trial at Newcastle Crown Court on 14 December.

‘Female Viagra’ boosts sex drive
Friday, November 20th, 2009 | Lifestyle | No Comments
A drug that failed the test as an antidepressant could find a new use as the female “Viagra“, say scientists.
The drug, flibanserin, had a disappointing effect on mood but did wonders for women’s flagging sex drive, researchers found.
Results from a series of clinical trials showed “significant improvements” in a number of measures of libido among women who had lost interest in sex.
Women taking 100 milligrams of flibanserin once a day reported greater numbers of “satisfactory sexual encounters”, higher levels of sexual desire, and reduced stress associated with sexual problems.
Professor John Thorp, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, US, who led the research, said: “Flibanserin was a poor antidepressant. However, astute observers noted that it increased libido in laboratory animals and human subjects.
“So, we conducted multiple clinical trials and the women in our studies who took it for hypoactive sexual desire disorder reported significant improvements in sexual desire and satisfactory sexual experiences.
“It’s essentially a Viagra-like drug for women in that diminished desire or libido is the most common feminine sexual problem, like erectile dysfunction is in men.”
Viagra, which helps men overcome impotency, also began life with another purpose in mind. It was originally designed to treat angina, the chest pain associated with heart disease.
Pooled results from three of four trials testing flibanserin’s ability to boost women’s sex drives were presented at the Congress of the European Society for Sexual Medicine in Lyon, France. A total of 1,946 pre-menopausal women aged 18 and older were treated either with flibanserin or an inactive “dummy” placebo drug for 24 weeks.
“Hypoactive sexual desire disorder” - or lack of sex drive - is believed to affect between 9% and 26% of women in the US. These results point to a novel approach to pharmacologic treatment of the sexual problem that plagues reproductive age women the most, and may over time prove to be an effective treatment without the side effects of androgen replacement therapy, which is the only treatment currently available,” said Prof Thorp.

3 sex tips that guarantee ultimate pleasure
Thursday, November 19th, 2009 | Sex Tips | No Comments
Don’t try too hard: When it comes to great sex, be natural. Trying too hard will make the process harder as no matter how hard you try to curb it, you will let your partner know that you are trying too hard. This is especially true for men who think if he doesn’t try variety, the girl won’t enjoy the sack session. So he might just try to pull off tricks that might actually turn her off, since she would realize he is not really into the act.
Don’t think too much: There is the concept of Gourmet sex, which is touted to be the most fulfilling and satisfying form of sex. It basically means having sex with a free and easy mind and allowing it to be a satisfying experience. Bed is definitely not the place to think. This especially involves women who are extremely self-conscious of their image. While into the act, she is more busy thinking how the guy will react, or is she looking fat. This kind of stuff will pull you out of the moment and get you into a negative spiral where you become sexually ineffective.
Go for simple moves: Great sex is all about simple moves, done in the right manner at the right time. Yes, you have seen a lot of porn and read a lot of stuff and are highly educated on the variety of postures that a couple can enjoy. Wait a while before putting them to action. Good sex is about learning to feel not just with your hands, but with your fingertips too. It’s not just being in-tune with her screams, but even to her breathing.

Playboy empire on brink of sale
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 | Celebrity Sex, Lifestyle | No Comments
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner changed American pop culture, one centerfold at a time.
With his Playboy Enterprises Inc in talks to be sold for about $US300 million, the 83 year-old Hefner will be giving up control over the iconic adult entertainment empire he founded that was instrumental in shaping society’s opinions on nudity, sex and free speech.
With $US600, Hefner in 1953 published the first Playboy magazine with a partially nude photo of Marilyn Monroe at its centre. The magazine would become not only one of the most successful publications ever, but also a brand that led many Americans to think about sex in a more carefree way.
“Hef” turned Playboy and its bunny head logo into a symbol for a lifestyle he embodied as bachelor extraordinaire, living in a mansion surrounded by wealth and beautiful women.
“This guy was one of the major players in the transformation of American culture in the second half of the 20th century and not just because he had a magazine with naked women in it,” said Robert Thompson, a professor of pop culture at Syracuse University.
In 1972, Playboy had a worldwide circulation of seven million, but that has been in decline ever since, as the liberalisation of sexual attitudes Hefner promoted became more mainstream — and more competitive.
But even as it grew ever more popular, the magazine created rivals such as Penthouse and Hustler. In the 1980s, adult videos grew into a major business and by the late 1990s, the rise of the internet and free pornography on the web became Playboy’s greatest rival for an audience.

Peter Andre’s sex talk frustration
Monday, November 16th, 2009 | Celebrity Sex | No Comments
Peter Andre has said that being celibate helps him clear his mind - but that talking about sex makes him feel “frustrated”.
The Behind Closed Doors singer apparently hasn’t dated anyone else since divorcing Katie Price earlier this year, though his ex-wife has linked him with a variety of people.
However, Andre seems to be taking a relaxed attitude to his current relationship situation, with plenty of other things to be concentrating on.
“I’ve been celibate before in my life,” he admitted. “It clears the mind. I don’t really want to talk about sex, to be honest. It’ll make me frustrated!
“I honestly haven’t got time to think about sex. It’s not that I don’t think about it, but I don’t dwell on it!”
Andre’s mind certainly isn’t on remarrying, as he explained: “It’s a case of once bitten, twice shy.
“It’ll take me a long, long time before I’m interested in anything like that. I just want to have fun.”

“At university, I said to a girl: ‘Before I met you all I could think about was history, now all I can think about is you.” Poor girl - clearly he’s no Mr Big or Aiden bless him.
Thomas revealed that he hasn’t “cashed the TV cheque” of being famous to score the girls as he worries he “couldn’t carry if off being a celebrity.”
Thomas was speaking at the V Inspired launch which celebrates young volunteering in the community.

Peter Andre has hinted that he may have finally had sex for the first time since his divorce from Jordan.
The singer suggested to us that he may have broken his vow of celibacy he took following the split in May in an exclusive interview with Mirror.co.uk.
Until now, the 36-year-old has denied that he has been intimate with anyone, however, last night we spoke to Pete at the premiere of A Christmas Carol and asked him whether he has finally taken the plunge.
He told us with a smirk: “I’m never going to reveal that, but who says I haven’t anyway?”
Two weeks ago, the self confessed “hot-blooded Greek” said it had been “nearly six months” since he had been intimate with someone, and he was getting “a little bit frustrated”.
His potential confession came about after The Mirror grilled Pete over a bizarre “cyber-coffee” evening he hosted over Twitter last week.
